Internet Explorer download problem

I tried to download an update version of the Internet Explorer, however I
got an error message and cancelled the download. When when I boot the
computer a pop up diaglog asks if I want to resume download. If I say yes,
I receive error message " The download loacation information is damaged.
Please clear your Internet Explorer browser cache and retry setup".
Does anyone know where can I find the cache? Please advise on how to solve
this problem.
