Somewhere along the line, I somehow got a third party search engine to come
up in my Internet explorer search bar. I cannot figure out how to change it
back to always using msn, or always using google. When I click on
"customize" nothing happens (it used to bring up a selection in the main
window where I could choose from a list of search engines to use as my
default). I'm using the most recent version of IE 6 with service pack 1.
Can anyone tell me how to get a normal search engine to come up in the
search bar?

Thanks in advance,

Your browser has been hijacked by some scumware. Download, install, and
run Spybot Search & Destroy and/or Ad-aware (I like to use both;
they're free) to get rid of this sort of malware.
