"Internet explorer cannot open the site..."

I keep getting this message when I go into one of my
favorite sites that I have accessed many times before
with no problem: "Internet explorer cannot open the
site...." operation aborted. I get this on a couple of
my favorite sites. Just started a few days ago and I
have not installed any new software lately. Please help!!

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

Everyone's been getting problems loading pages lately.
Some kind of timeout being caused by the new operation
they just started at the NSA that's attempting to find
terrorists in "real time" by scanning ISP traffic.

The service providers are all under "national security"
gag orders about it, but I saw the men in black duck into
Comcast on Monday, and Verizon on Tuesday.

Hey, waitta minute! I forgot to take my meds tonight!
