Trevor

I am running XP Pro SR2 and downloaded the SP2 version of IE7 and installed
it. All I now get when I try and go into IE is a white screen and
everything is frozen.

What can the problem be and how to I correct it?

Thanx

Try System Restore, then can you provide more Info about the SP2 what it
does it mean, is it the latest security Updates for IE7?.
Try to uninstall the SP2 or the IE7 then run Disk clean up and run this
command:
sfc /scannow click [OK] you will need the XP CD for this operation.
Then try the installation of IE7, does it help?.
Read her and you post your Q there on the IE7 Newsgroup:

You need to ask your question here:
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

You need to sort out versions. I think you mean Windows XP Pro SP2 and
Internet Explorer 7. I presume things went wrong when you downloaded IE7
to replace IE6.
