When I try to send text files I get the message: Your secutiry settings
prohibit running ActiveX controls and your text might not display correctly.
How can I get ActiveX installed into my IE 6? Thanks!

1. Start Internet Explorer (if it is not already running).
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Set Security level to medium, click Apply and OK.

The message doesn't say you don't have it installed, it says your security
settings are such that they prohibit running ActiveX controls. It's
possible it's in the system security settings but it's also possible,
assuming you are running a firewall that you need to make an adjustment in
the firewall settings. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select Internet
Options, go to the Security tab and try lowering your security level to see
if that resolves the issue. If not, then you'll need to check your firewall
settings.

There is no place under Tools for Internet options, nor a place to set
security to medium or any other level. Thanks!

If, you don't see Internet Options under Tools and you see no Security tab,
unless there is something wrong with your system, you are not in Internet
Explorer. Perhaps you are in Windows Explorer.

The menu is under Tool in Internet Explorer.

You open, Internet Explorer, not Windows Explorer, go to Tools on the
Internet Explorer toolbar, select Internet Options and go to the Security
tab.
