Please help! I am running windows XP home and IE 6. The
problem is that when I connect to the Internet using my BT
Anytime icon, IE will not open. I am getting an error
report asking if I want to send an error report to
microsoft. Internet explorer just will not open at all. I
have not changed any settings and all was OK until
recently. I am really frustrated as I can't view any web
pages now as IE will not open. I think the error report
mentions something about TCP?

Please Help!

Hi Frank

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post.

I do not have any problems connecting to the Internet, but
I just can't view any web pages as IE6 will not launch. I
can connect to net using an application that I have for
downloading music, called Kazaar. I am so frustrated
because IE won't open and I don't like using Kazaar to
surf the web.

Please Help!

Kazaa? Oh, dear.

First eliminate any scumware.

Be sure to include CWShredder, but also use the other tools.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
