GARY HATCHER
I purchased a Dell computer in 2000 and purchased Windows
ME which included Internet Explorer 6. However, I've had
AOL since the purchase date and have never had to use IE.
Recently I switched to Verizon DSL for a faster connection
and now I have to use IE6 as my browser. With IE6 I can
connect to websites and surf various links but I can not
download files from the web. This is frustrating. I get
an error message which says:
"Internet Explorer cannot download [filename] from [web
location]. Internet explorer was not able to open this
internet site. The requested site is either unavailable
or cannot be found."
The sites are found and open but I can't download any
files from them. Dell says it's a Microsoft issue because
it's Microsoft's software. Microsoft says it's a Dell
issue because I purchased the software with my PC. I'm
stuck in the middle of this crap and I paid them both my
money.
Anyone please provide assistance.
Thanks
