Internet Explorer 6 in WinXP SP2.

Hi all,
Yesterday, IE started to frezze for about 30 seconds, if I click on the
dropdown menu of previous sites visited. I've tried reinstalling, and
restoring to previous days, to no avail. It continues to freeze for the
initial 30 seconds, and then it doesn't happen again unless I'm at another
site and click the dropdown again. Then again it freezes. Anyone have a
clue? Sure would appreciate an answer.

Try clearing your Internet Cache. Open Internet explorer and click on Tools
Then Click Internet Options > Click on to the General Tab > Click The
Click to expand...
Delete Files button > Tick the Delete all Offline Content > Click OK > This
can take from a few seconds to a few minutes so be patient.

Now try again

If you are still experiencing problems then go back to the General Tab and
click the clear history Button.

Now Try again

If it still does not work then try http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm
 
Greg , I tried all your suggestions, then rebooted, and all is working great
