hi all

I have been trying to solve a problem on friends computer, when he visits
certain websites, one in particular has pictures on it and when clicked they
appear in a separate windowm however, this site opens the box but has "errors
on page - Class doesn’t support automation" and the top of the box has the
"about blank" on it

hope someone can help

install java script, and ensure no active x blocking programs are running.
Normally I block all active x, unless I want to view something that uses it

Rob,

Can you post a link to the website?

Rob,

From what I see, the page is simply executing a javascript when you click a
photo. Give the following commands a try (from Start, Run)

regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll

If that does not help, see if _temporarily_ adding that site to Trusted
sites list (in IE) helps.

thanks for reply, I did install Java console onto his machine but it still
didnt allow the page to be displayed ??

The site is www.sundaynights.co.uk

thanks for reply, i have just tried what you suggested but it still claims to
have errors on page ???, other sites with simular i.e automart work fine ??

Rob,

Register two additional modules, as well:

regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 oleaut32.dll

If that does not help, try repairing IE.
