Internet drops with win xp pro sharing

I am having a problem with my internet connection while
sharing my computer (win xp pro). I will sign onto my
profile and establish a internet connection (AIM, IRC,
etc.), whether it is wireless or hardwired to my linksys
router and everything works fine. But if I leave my
computer and come back to it a few hours later and log
back into my profile, my internet connection has been
lost and I have to re-establish connection once again. I
remember this not happening, but don't know what i did to
cause this to occur. Please help

Check your power settings. Don't let your computer hibernate or maybe even
go into standby.
