I am trying to connect my laptop to the internet through my desktop which is
connected to my broadband. The desktop works fine, and ICS is set up and
working. The laptop can connect to the desktop, exchnaging files etc. The
laptop can also connect to web pages using IP addresses, but not using fully
qualified domain names. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Thanks
David

Check the laptop's DNS server setting. If you've configured its
TCP/IP settings manually, set DNS to either 192.168.0.1 (the desktop)
or your ISP's DNS server address.

Steve, thanks for the prompt response.

The address is assigned by DHCP, IP address 192.168.0.259; DNS Server
192.158.0.1; same address for Default Gateway and DHCP Server. Any other
ideas?

Thanks
David
