ok... here's my problem... i have a computer running win
XP pro, and it connects to the internet just fine. i
recently set up a separate user account for my husband to
use, but while logged in to his accout, you can't connect
to the internet, even tho the "local area connection" icon
is present. i'm running a cable modem, and we used to
have 2 computers connected thru a router, if that makes a
difference.... please advise... thank you

In the properties for the connection is it set up to connect "only for this
account" or for all users who log on?

Bugger, I was hoping you wouldn't ask :)
I know it exists/asks when you initially set-up the connection.
I'll have a scout around and get back if/when I find it
