Recently my internet stopped working right. Half the
time my DSL says it wont even connect and programs that
use the internet like messengers, games, etc wont
connect to the internet to do their stuff. The windows
update tool doesnt even work any more. I bought a virus
program, ran it, and it found a bunch of viruses and got
rid of them, but it didnt fix any of my problems with my
internet. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?
.
This may only apply with Norton, I don't know about the
others. I had the same problem with my new computer.
After installing Norton Internet Security, and cleaning
Blaster and Welchia from my files, I still could not get
on to the Web. What worked is to click on the Norton
Int. Security icon and click on Disable. At the pop up
box click "Yes". This then allows me to connect to the
web. The problem that I am still incurring is that I
cannot send email messages. I can receive, but not
send. Note that the anti-virus feature is still engaged
even after disabling the Norton Int. Security. Hope this
helps.
