internet connection failed message: http error 403-forbidden

hi tech,
operating system :windows xp pro
ie :6.0

whenever i try to connect to the internet it seems to load but gives the msg
error:http 403 forbidden and then doesn't connect other computers in the
office using the same internet connection but with a windows 2000 pro OS are
working fine
not done any updates recently
