internet address history

regardless of using the usual methods ( clear internet history thru the
tools internet options menu) I have a couple of address which refuse to clear
out.. They are not in my favorites either.... but they still remain on the
adress drop drop bar..

Help!!!!
 
Try:
Delete the History folder and index.dat:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

If that does not help, it might be due to malware. Follow the cleanup advice given here:

Thank you soo much!!! The cc cleaner did the trick.. I had tried window
washer but it didn't even touch the problem... Thank again for your
excellent help and Merry Christmas to ya.. :0)
