internal network pings but fails http

I've set up my internal home network: xp on both machines, go through one nic to dsl modem through second nic to a netgear hub and then to second machine. Second machine canping first & vise versa. I get to internet from primary with no trouble (thus this message). However, when I try and get a web page from second box I get the error page.

Any help or guidance appreciated!!!
 
You have to setup Internet Connection Sharing on the NIC that is connected to the DSL modem. Once you do you'll need to set the client machine to DHCP as the ICS creates a DHCP server (a system that automatically assigns IP addresses). What it sounds like is that you don't have sharing turned on, but have both computers configured with IP addresses which is why you can ping them, but without a shared connection you wont be able to go through the other computer and actually get to the internet
