Hi,
My dial up modem is currently running at 33K, I guess it's the problem with
the driver. Does anyone know how I can download the latest driver for Lucent
2811B 56K Internal Modem Driver? Thanks very much.

Hi,

Just because it's a 56k modem does not mean you will always get that, that's
just the maximum. Your actual speed depends on line conditions, the ISP
server, and any other bottlenecks along the way. I doubt very much that you
will see any improvement by updating the driver, however you will find them
here:

Googling for that specific model doesn't bring up anything, but using
the search term, "Lucent modem drivers" will get you about 129,000
links.

On good days my 56K modem hooks up at 26.4,you are lucky.
I think we have the poorest phone lines in northern minnesota.

If you have the funds, go grab a US Robotics external.for $49 plus tax it
will serve you better. faster connection and stay connected. a customer of
mine was connecting from28-36, after the US Robotics he is connecting at
48-50 regularly.
