I have an annoying alarm that goes off every six minutes and can't figure out why
I am running xp and the latest thing I installed was a SIGNATURE keyboard MCK-800 when the problem started. I uninstalled the keyboard hoping to solve the problem but it still goes off

Any help is appreciated

Hi,

Mine does that when it gets warm. Just for the fun of it, take a look at
all your cooling fans, graphics card, power supply, CPU, case etc., and
see if they're clean and running too. You could also easily leave a case
side off and see if it helps.

This sounds like the internal motherboard alarm. Most motherboards moniter the CPU temperature. If it goes above a set temperature, it sounds the alarm. You can change this in the CMOS options, if you know how. But trying cleaning out the inside first. If the heat sink is full of dust it wont dissipate heat. Also make sure your CPU fan is working.
