Using an Acer Travel Mate laptop with an internal wireless.
Recently I lossed my wireless - the orange light went off.
It did not work for a month - didn't matter so much.
I was running on a battery that would not charge so used mains all the time.
Got back to the office and swapped batteries so I had a full one.
Not sure if this was connected to the status change of my wireless
connection but about that time, the wireless began to work again.
Two days ago I worked on a train off the battery and from that time the
wirless has not worked.
I have tried repair, disable / enable.
I have restored the laptop to a time when it was working.
I have installed a PCMCIA wireless adaptor and that did not work even after
installing the proper drivers.
Please help. Any assistance gratefully appreciated.

Take a look at the settings in the Acer eManager utility,

Thank you so much Roberto.
I found that my eManager utility was turned off - I made it turn off on
start up not knowing its value. When I got it going, my wireless worked.
Fantastic.
