Using windows XP Pro.
Peer to Peer network with 5 computers, a Mirra Backup drive, and a Dell
Switch.
Periodically if I click on View Network Computers 2 of them are missing.
Occasionally the computers will get a message indicating the connection to
the Mirra computer was lost
(the missing network connections were happening before I installed the Mirra
backup drive)
Occasionally when I open a document in a shared folder on another computer
the document cannot be saved.

I found some new information.
On one of the computers in the network connection properties there is an
item called Microsoft Ver 6 TCP/IP. If I check that one and uncheck tcp/ip
for that connection, close it and then view workgroup connections it only
shows 3 of the five computers on the network.

More Information.
When doing IPconfig /all from cmd at one of the computers in addition to the
normal IP config data I get:

Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:

All of the others do not have this data when I do ipconfig /all

Wayne, having similar problem. I am running a home wireless network wirth
two computers. Both machines are running Windows XP. Desktop Gateway 333
(Pent III) is connected to a LINKSYS b/g 4 port wireless router through RJ45.
Other computer is a Dell Inspirion 1150 (Pent 4) through a internal wireless
card (1350 wireless miniPC b/g). I can connect to the internet from both
computers. I can not get the network back up between the two. My ping results
from the command prompt are similar to the ones you posted. The Deshtop has
four lines of data, the laptop has all the diaglogue with Terredo Tunneling
etc.

I have been battling spyware (Spyaxe) and trojans (Trojan.zlob.d,
trojan.zlob, etc) for the last 4 days. I think part of my registry was
damaged. I had to revert to an earlier version to restore the internet
connection. I am wondering if this is coming from the registry somewhere. I
am not that savvy on registry entries so I steer clear of changing anything
in it except as specifically directed on a Symantec help page.

I reestablished the internet connectivity by reinstalling the router, then
setting up a network through the wizard. I elected to use a USB device to
populate the settings to the other devices.

If I figure this out I will post something
