Interfacing in .NET

I would like to know more about Interfacing hardware devices through .NET.

We're students and what we're trying to do is control our robots with
printer or serial port interfacing... very similar to C++ classic style.

Please help us as it could do great wonders for our project.

I've only played with Robosapien and compact framework. You can find

interesting stuff there.

Basically we were looking for something in specific as to program the
ports... But thanks for the info passed!

In .NET 1.1 you have to do some pinvoke around some Win32 APIs (CreateFile,
ReadFile, WriteFile etc).

You could do it yourself or take a look at
