Interface to merge files

I would like to create a presentation library that allows me to put about 50
presentation "chapters" on a DVD. I would then like to be able to select
chapters in a given order to be merged. The chapters would not be editable
by the user. The merged file could be manipulated and saved as desired.
Does anyone know if there is software to do this?

I'm sure that we don't know the full scope of what you want, but have you
considered just creating a "menu" presentation that has links to the other
"chapters"? If you want the chapters to play in sequence, and the DVD included
the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer, you could create a playlist file that lists the
chapter presentations and they would be played sequentionally. Then burn
everything to a DVD.

If I understand it corretly, you want to allow a user to insert one or more
slides into a presentation. One way to do this would be by means of a macro
or two. Create a number of command buttons on the opening slide and attach a
macro to each button. You must use the buttons found in the "Control Box".
Each button would allow the user to insert the chapters that they wanted to
see. Once the buttons have been created and the "caption" set to whatever
chapters would been seen, record a macro that inserts the appropriate slides.

If you require step by step instructions for doing this let me know and I'll
post them for you.

Good look and keep experimenting - it's a great teaching aid and learning
tool.

I would be interested in directions to do this. I am not real familiar with
macros.

Would it be possible to sequence them by putting in a number into a field
for each presentation?

Sincerely,
Jamie.
