hi how can i make a spreadsheet accesible and changeable on the internet also
is it poss to have passwod protection,

by "changeable" do you mean that you want people to be able to play with
different options on the internet (like a mortgage calculator type thing) or
do you want them to be able to write the information back to your original
excel file stored on your hard disk?

well its for a business which owns 3 shops accross the uk and i was thinking
of putting the spreadsheet on a web site or the internet so that they can
enter their data, eg how much they have taken each day, staff hours ect.

this is definitely not something i know very much about - so hopefully
someone more knowledgeable will pop up and provide a better answer ...
because AFAIK you can't use Excel to feed information FROM a web page back
to a file located on a hard drive.

You need to use Access and FrontPage to do this sort of thing.
