Sorry if you have already seen this. I can't see it from my vantage point so
I am reposting.

I am using FP 2003 and just getting acquainted with interactive buttons. Are
they meant to be used on a whole site or just for "special events"?

Also, because each one has 3 images I'm concerned about the additional file
size they may generate. Does anyone know how much weight each one adds?
Thank you!

You can use them for the entire site.
The thing to remember is that even though
there are three for each button, if the same
buttons from the same source are used on
multiple pages the images "should" only be
downloaded once per visitor.
( same source meaning same set of buttons
from the same folder )

That's reassuring. Thank you.

You can use them for just about anything you can think of from a single
button to a complete navigation system.

1st off you can opt to not have the pressed image thus saving 1/3 of the
amount of buttons. For most of the buttons it seems that gif is the best
format for file size. One of the tabs for instance comes in at 2.15 for a
gif yet compressing a jpeg to the same file size seems to defelop some very
noticable artifacts.
