intelli explorer v3 died :/

My beloved intelli explorer has finally died on me ,
second one I bought and sadly no longer available in most
places.

Get a v4 you say ?

Basically I am not at all happy with the v4 for 3 reasons
1) you can't use the tiltwheel as a fire button , its too
slow, does not autofire properly
2) the side buttons are too high for gaming
3) The scroll wheel speed makes it unusable for weapon
selection.

The one thing I would say though is if you don't use
middle much then get one, the accuracy is amazing, shame I
can't use it :(

Ideally a gamers edition covered in teflon (yes we like to
munch stuff whilst killing) with no tilt and less height
on the left would be nice but I guess thats asking to
much :s.

I think the v3 is still under warranty but I don't have
the reciept etc, is it possible to find out I regged it
with MS somewhere ?
 
You should still be able to get a product replacement. Microsoft is
very good at supporting their products even if you have lost the
reciept. I recieved a very expensive BlueTooth Keyboard and Mouse for
Christmas and I was very disappointed when the keyboard died. I called
them up and did not have a reciept or anything, they still sent me a new
keyboard/mouse bundle free of charge (with a little extra info).
