I downloaded the current version of “Intel Desktop Utilities -- Lightâ€
(Hardware Monitor only) from Intel’s site.

Clicking on the executable file activated a “WinZip Self Extractor†that
displayed the message “Files unzipped successfullyâ€.

However, the TEMP directory to which the files were supposed to be unzipped
was not created and the program was not installed.

Thank you for your help.

Intel "should have a link" but it DOES NOT HAVE a link.
No help could be found in Intel's data- base.

Can anyone respond to my question?

Thank you for your help.

Mr. Parker,

As I wrote, no help could be found on Intel's website.
I did search Intel's data-base BEFORE posting.

There is NO SUPPORT via e-mail.
The link you mentioned is misleading; It is used to provide by e-mail data
found by automated search using of key-words. One can get the same data by
on-line searching in Intel's data-base.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE RESPOND TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION?

Don't expect another reply to your query. Your question is completely off-topic.

This newsgroup covers issues with Windows 2000 operating systems.

Your question concerns a 3rd party utility that may or not be compatible with
your motherboard. This is a hardware issue, not an OS issue.

You need to ask for help from the author(s) of this utility.

Perhaps you could try asking over at the Apple forum, they are switching
to Intel, so someone there might be helpful.
