I've got MB Intel D865PERL, CPU P4 2.8GHz and 120 GB Seagate HDD. After new
installation of Win XP the HDD is recognized as UATA drive. Do I need to
install some other drivers to run it in SATA mode?

Hi,

No, this is normal. Also, if you use two S-ATA drives and use the RAID0 or
RAID1 capability of the board, the discs will appear in Device Manager as
connected to a "SCSI controller".

The first driver you should install is the Intel chipset driver
(http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/inf/sb/CS-009270.htm), to ensure
that all the chipset devices are correctly detected. After that, install
audio, video and LAN drivers. I have a D865PERL system here and the drive
controllers are listed in Device Manager as "Intel(R) 82801EB Ultra ATA
Storage Controllers".

Hope this helps..

Ok. Then everything seems to be fine. My drive controllers are recognized as
""Intel(R) 82801EB Ultra ATA" too. Thanx!
