Instant Messenger has disappeared - XP Pro

I went to download it again from the MSN site and when I hit RUN it said I
was trying to load an older version than I had. It told me to delete the
software, I thought, aha if I can find it there I can locate it. However it
was not listed as software on Add/Delete. I did a search but nothing came
up. Now I can't load it Why?

Open Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, click the Add/Remove Windows
components button in the left pane. Locate Windows Messenger at the
bottom of the list.

Hey thanks...I was able to repair it and I have it again.
