Installtion of CD Burning Software

I am trying to load Roxio Easy Creator 5.0 and Ahdea Nero
5.5. The installsheild wizard for both products gives me
the following error message:

"The wizard was interrupted before the software could be
completed. Your system hasn't been modified. To
complete installation re-run at another time."

Why is XP not allowing me to load either of these
software packages?

Have you used XP's CD burning software? I have found it very simple to use.
Or is this too basic for your requirements?

No I haven't tried XP's software. I am just used to Easy
Creator for buring CD and Data backups.

Can XP handle making CDs?

Sandor,

I have only used XP for copying files to disk so can't comment on its
ability to do more. If you search on "CDs" in XPs Help, it gives info on
creating your own cds etc. Maybe other folks will comment further on this
for you.

You must install Easy CD Creator while logged onto an account with
Administrator privileges.
If you use Easy CD Creator you will need to ensure that you have run the
update patch for it. You can downloaded the latest update from www.roxio.com
 
Thanks for the link, Harry. Very interesting reading. Will resort to Nero
when I require anything above copying the odd file or folder to CD
