Installshield wizard problem

I am having a problem installing two programs that install fine without SP2,
but won't with it. They run fine with SP2 for sure, because I already had
them on the computer before I installed XP2 and they worked fine afterward.
I wiped the disk, installed XP, then the SP2, and then they wouldn't install.
Went back and forth with the SP2 and without and installing the programs.
For some reason they just won't install with the SP2 installed. I don't
think SP2 is recongnizing to open the installshield wizards on these two
programs. No error message, just nothing. The computer recongnizes the
disk, just the installshield program won't start. I have a ton of other
programs on here with the same version of installshield and they install just
fine. Like I say, it's not that they won't run with SP2, they will, they
just won't install. It's got me stumped. Any ideas?

I am having a similar problem. Maybe the same one. You go to install a
program and all that happens is a brief flash of the hourglass cursor
then nothing happens. Have had three differnt progs do it so far. On
different computers, only happens with SP2 installed. But the same
programs run on some comps with SP2 on them. It is driving me crazy.
