InstallShield corrupting Access 97 .mdb?

Hi all,

I have an Access 97 .mdb that gets installed along with my
app via InstallShield.

After installation, the date fields in the .mdb have been
changed to number fields.

I know that the .mdb file on the CD is good, because 1) you
can look at it and 2) copying it from the install CD and
then pasting it over the installed .mdb fixes the problem
(after you eliminate the "read only" attribute that seems
to come along with copy/paste from CD).

Has anyone had any experience with something like this?

Thanks

E

Do you mean that when you open the table in design view and look at the
properties of the field it says 'Number' where it used to say 'Date/Time',
or is something else happening that leads you to believe that the data type
has changed?
