Hello
I am not sure what you are wanting to do, but lets try
this if you are wanting to do a full install with an
upgrade version of XP, that can be done, the XP Cd comes
with all the tools to do that you just put the CD in shut
down then start up and it will walk you through the
steps, be sure to delete the old partition and reformat
to NTFS (not the quick one) the only catch is with the
upgrade version at one point you will be asked to put in
a previous version of windows (95,98,98SE,ME) that is
just to prove that you owned a version, the restore CD's
will not work for this, now to answer the question about
going back to ME you will have to delete the partition
and everything and start over you can upgrade but not
downgrade and ME will not work with NTFS.
Hope this helps
Jim
