I installed SP2 on my XP Home system a few weeks ago, and have had NO
problems with it (sorry, all you folks that have).
My wife is starting an online college next week, and in the materials they
sent is an XP Pro CD. They say to retain compatibility with all of their
software/internet downloads, etc., etc. to install XP Pro.
I'm a bit leery of doing that (not that I wouldn't mind having the extra
features of Pro) as I KNOW it doesn't contain SP2 (probably not even SP1).
What's the word on doing this? Is it possible? Recommended? Likely to
thrash my system?
Do you think I even need to do it, given that I have XP Home already?
If you CAN, please email me, as I don't frequent these forums. Thanks.
