Installing XP over 2000Pro

I tried to install XP home over my 200 Pro. About a month ago, I installed a
new CD/DVD burner. Teh install begins, but when it gets to where it says to
hit enter to start the installation, it says it cannot read the disk. The IT
guy at work says it doesn't seem to be finding the driver for the CD what do
i do to get around this problem?
 
You cannot install Windows XP Home Edition over
Windows 2000. You need to purchase Windows XP
Professional in order to "upgrade" over Windows 2000.

Windows XP Home Edition would have to be installed
"clean" on a reformatted drive.
