I am trying to install windows XP profesional (without
sp1, as that's the only CD I have). I am trying to install
onto a 160GB disk.
booting from CD fails to see a large drive.
I downloaded the xp sp1a floppies, created them, it boots
fine, sees a large drive, formats the drive fine, then
refuses to see my xp cd. (It asks for an xp professional
service pack 1 cd & I only have xp professional without
sp1).
Is there any way to take the xp (without sp1) floppies,
and midify them or download a fixed version that will
format a drive, then allow me to install xp, then download
and apply sp1 to it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks -jeff
