installing XP on 2nd drive

hello,

I am running 2kpro...i installed a drive (120G)i
installed XP on the new drive..and when i remove the old
drive the new one wont boot...it says missing os...but
when i have the old one in as well it will...BTW i
installed XP on the new drive while i was in 2K ..if that
makes a difference..any help would be greatly appreciated!

try something unconventional...install windows xp from the boot disk...and
choose the second drive as it takes you through the disk choices.

Yes. You will have done a New install, and thereby set up a dual boot,
actually doing the boot in the Win2k drive. Sorting this out is not
easy; your realistic choices are

to keep both drives (remove the 2K if you don't want it, retaining the
boot files in the root), and use both, which is what I would do; or

to start all over doing a fresh install to the new drive as the master
one, booting the XP CD and, when it asks where, deleting the present
partition and making a new one
