I had a friend who tried to use one version on 2 of his
computers in his house, but wasn't able to because of
copyright laws or something. I was wondering if I would
be able to install XP on the new computer im getting and
keep it on the old one too? Would I even be able to
install it on the new computer or would Microsoft think
that it's being copied and used like that? Okay, is it
okay to install XP on a new computer and keep it on the
current one?

Please E-mail me at (e-mail address removed)

Thank You

No,

You may only install one license copy of Windows XP on one PC.
So if you have it on an old machine an buy a new one (and the new one did
not come with Windows XP) you may not install Windows XP using your existing
CD, unless you remove it from the old machine and it was NOT an OEM version
(OEM Windows XP may not be moved from the first machine it is installed to)
