Installing Windows XP Pro

Had my Harddrive go bad, installed a new Maxtor 80gig, same as what was in it
Used the Maxtor Blaster 3 as stated, but keep getting this message now 'DIZK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" no matter what I try keep getting same meassage.

Hello
if you are loading from a XP CD
you need to boot from the cd and reformat your harddrive
for XP will conflict with 3rd party formating tools that
is why they put all the neccesary formatting and
partitioning tools on the CD, just boot from the CD and
follow the instructions and it will walk you through
deleteing and partitioning and formatting the drive.
if you are using your restore disk you need to run fdisk
and delete the partition and reformat
