I have windows 95 setup all ready to go with all the
neccessary files in a folder on my desktop. How would I go
about installing win 95 and getting rid of NT? When i
click setup it says that setup cannot run from within
windows NT and to start computer in MS-Dos and run setup
from there. How would I go about doing this?

thanks

Scott,
You will need to completely remove NT by using FDISK and format from a boot
disk with fdisk and format.
If NT was using the NTFS file system, you will need use fdisk to delete the
non-dos partition and then create a new active primary partition.
Then you can format the partition using format from the boot disk.
Type format C: /S at the A: prompt
You can then use the boot disk with CD-ROM to run Win95 from CD or if on
disk, you setup from the floppy.
