Installing Win XP

When I try to install Win XP (beside my Existing Win ME but in another partion) My Screen turns Black and My Cmputer Hangs!
I even removed My CD-Writer But Failed again

Please guide me

CPU Inet 233 MHz
Ram 2x64 MB
VGA 9750 Trident (4MB)
Sound card Yamaha
CD-Rom
CD-Writer

Partitions=======================
C:\ (1.95GB) Windows ME
D:\ (5.84 GB) Windows XP (Failed installation)
E:\ (5.84 GB)
F:\ (5.84 GB)
 
Have you run the XP Upgrade Adviser to see if the computer is compatible?
You computer seems , by the specification you have noted is very near the
minimum for Xp . I would not put XP on this , you will have nothing but
performance problems. Jym
