Today I asked if I could install an Upgrade version of XP pro over my beta version of XP Pro Jupiter Jones says "No" I need a non beta version. I have an unused original XP Home. Can I safely install this XP Home ontop to the Beta XP pro. Then upgrade to the new XP Pro
Thanks

No. Windows XP Home cannot be installed over any version
of XP Pro....a "clean install" would be required.

You would need the full XP pro version to upgrade the beta version. The XP
pro upgrade can be used to clean install using the unused Home version as
the qualifier.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.
