Installing win. xp home from DOS

Dear All,
I bought a new pc with win xp home. I had to
formatt everything. When i tried to install win xp from
windows! Ah the original cd just couldn't run! They say
its not boot-able! How can I install that original win xp
from its cd?

All retail purchased Windows XP CD ROMS are bootable.
Check your BIOS to ensure it is set to boot form the Cd first. Also watch
the screen for the message to press a key to boot form CD (it is only there
for 3 seconds)

If everything is OK and your CD is still not booting take it back and get it
replaced - it must be damaged.

If Windows XP came with your PC - it may not be a full Windows XP CD ROM -
it may be a recovery CD. In which case see the manuals that came with your
PC about how to use it to restore Windows XP, or contact the manufacturer of
the PC.
