Hello:

If I install either Virtual PC 2004 or 2007 here on my XP SP2 laptop, my
internet connection (whether LAN or wireless) simply goes away. Luckily, I
am able to resolve this issue with the internet by using the XP system
restore (even though I lose my install of VPC of course).

But, does anyone know why I cannot have a successful install and use of VPC
without destroying my internect connection? It's weird.

Is there a way that I can have both?

John

Please ask in the microsoft.public.virtualpc newsgroup. That is a very
active group.

80's Throwback,

I have Vista Business with Virtual PC with XP Pro SP3 & Windows Server 2008 Enterprise &
all have Internet & the 2008 Server is running as a DHCP Server with DNS configured & all
work fine on the same Internet connection

All I done was add 2 IP's to my laptop LAN card as my virtual network is running a
different IP range to my home network & work networks.

So, it sounds like the IP is in the wrong IP range
