installing several users with different software for each

I want to have different programs available to different users on our PC.
Specifically, I want a 'games' user where I plan to install any games for the
kids; a 'video' user where I want only my video editing program; and a
'family' user for everything else. This way if installing lots of games makes
xp unstable it will only affect the 'games' logon, and when I'm doing any
video editing I'll have a clean logon with no background tasks using up
processor cycles.

How do I do this?

Hi David
I am running my drives split into 7.
How big is your hard drive.
I've got 3 maxtor SATA 160GB drives. labled as backup XP c, data, music,
web, game etc as you say if one mucks up the rest will be fine.

Get a big drive. partition and format into the number of OS you want in
your note you said 3.
Load OS onto each partition. In C: drive rename the drives so you will know
what one is what when installing the other OS

*****you will have to instal everything separetly. ie. printer 3times
(ADSL) 3times
if you let it find drivers/software itself from C: you will end up with
invalled references.

I dont know much about pc but i managed to do the above no problems....its
great. As the pc boots up it will ask you what you want to boot up.
(rename to something like XP GAMES you do this from...right click my computer
select properties...advanced...startup and recovery. Click edit and rename
to what you like...this is what you will see at boot up screen) save and exit.
XP web , XP Games, XP general is a good name.

hope this is of help to you.
Regards
Phill
