No. Read the EULA. It's good for installation on *one* computer.

There's a lot of confusion about MS OEM vs retail software. Typically,
OEM software is ONLY usable on the computer that it came on.... you
can't even legally move it to another computer should your computer
die. However, Retail software is transferable to a new computer. In
the case of MS Office Student/teacher... the retail version IS legally
installable on 3 deparate computers that you have in your home.... but
apparently the OEM version is not (assuming that's what the EULA
states... I don't have this software, so I can't say what the EULA
states).

ahhhh,, now the big question is, if I try to install it and it takes, does
that mean it's good to go? or could I expect some sort of problems? I'm a
computer illiterate here. Also, if I do simply insert the disk, run setup and
the product key 'takes' or 'works', would I then need to uninstall the 60 day
trial version somehow? I suppose I could just hit the 'convert to full
version' option when I run the setup CD... also, I assume if it works, then
it's legal...thanks for your help....very much.

You're really asking in the wrong place here - this newsgroup is
really for technical discussions of the Access software, not legal
advice on software licensing.

That said: The fact that something is technically possible does NOT
mean that it is legally acceptable, or ethical for that matter.

Again... read the EULA of the software you're trying to install. You
may need someone versed in the intricacies of legalese to interpret
(don't ask me, I'm not such a person!) But the language is very
precise and unambiguous (albeit turgid and opaque). I'd suggest asking
in a newsgroup for Office general, or for licensing specifically;
you'll have a better chance of finding someone expert in this arcane
area!

NO! Just because it works does NOT mean that it's legal. If the Eula
says it's for only one computer, then it's illegal to install it on
another.

I'm still running Office 2003 from a couple of centuries ago. Does Office
2203 have some cool new features??

Yes it does, but if you don't have one of the Holograph Readers, it
won't do you any good.
