My BIOS successfully detect it. But I don't know how to install it on XP. I
heard I can use gpedit.msc but after that I don't know.

Installing a new hard drive has nothing to do with the Group Policy
Editor.

Assuming this is a second hard drive and you already have Windows
installed, go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer
Management>Disk Management. Do you see the new hard drive there? If so,
create a partition and format it. Or you could boot with the drive
mftr.'s utility and partition/format it outside of Windows. Then when
you boot into Windows, the new drive will appear.

Is this a second hard drive that you've added to your system
for storage?
If that's the case then take a look here,

How to install an additional hard drive using Windows XP Disk
Management

Bottom line is that you need to go into Disk Management and
partition and format your new drive. You can access Disk
Management through Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc -> Click OK.

Here's another article you may find helpful,

XP

Post back if you have any questions.

Good luck
