Just curious, why would you want to delete fonts? What purpose would it
serve?

As I recall, Windows loads ALL fonts in the fonts folder into RAM upon
bootup. Remove unused fonts will speed the boot process, and increase
the amount of free RAM.

If anyone can show I am mistaken about this by citing a reliable
trustworthy web site, I will change my thinking on this.

This was true in Windows 9X, but it's not true in XP.

Sorry, I don't have a site handy. Perhaps someone else does.

This link doesn't discuss if they are loaded or not but it
does tell how to remove them or keep them form loading by moving
them to another folder. You could move them and see it it makes
any difference in you boot time. Watch for line wrap on the link.
