running WinXP Pro and starting to use Dreamweaver MX2004 -
Control panel didn't list IIS, so I started to do a install of IIS from my
XP pro CD using 'install optional components'
But stopped because When i unchecked MSNExplorer - i got a message asking if
i wanted to uninstall Explorer
Should i uncheck all the items listed and check only IIS? or should i leave
the checked items as is and check IIS?

A followon question- does it matter where i install IIs -i.e should i accept
the default?

MSN Explorer is not Internet Explorer. You can happily unisntall MSN
Explorer if you want to, it won't affect IE or Windows Explorer.

Sometimes there are just too many Explorers and it gets confusing!

As to where to put IIS... I left it at the default on both my XP Pro and my
Windows 2003 Server... but the websites are in their own directories on
other harddrives... not in inetpub.

Cari- thanks - i plan to put the websites in other directories - so i guess
default is ok for install
