installing and uninstalling problems

Hi
I seem to have lost all ability to install and uninstall
software on xp, I have run norton windoctor and get the
response
missing file:
C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\InstallShield\Professional\Run
Time\0701\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe" cannot access
anecessary file "mscoree.dll" i guess at some stage while
upgrading to nav 2004 I've done something? any help would
be gratefully appreciated this is giving me nightmares!!

InstallShield is not part of Windows. It is supported at
www.installshield.com.
