There can be mutliple reasons this is occuring. Location not found message
somewhat tells me you are trying to create an additional server in an
existing domain that doesn;'t exist? We'll need to know specifics of what
you provided the wizard so we can interpret that message for you.
In the meantime, with all due respect, I think a little reading up on AD and
it's requirements may help in understanding what it needs and why. Here are
some links on it below. I would also suggest not to use the Configure Server
wizard and perform it manually since you will hve more control over the
install procedure.
I would also suggest to only point DNS to your server only. If this is the
same server, then change the IP properties to point to itself. DCPROMOM will
isntall DNS for you if not already installed since AD NEEDS DNS. If you use
your ISP's DNS server in your IP properties, all kinds of things will go
wrong, which I will put my paycheck on. So all your AD mmembers (DC and
clients) should only use the internal DNS that AD is using. For Internet
resolution, use a forwarder for efficeient Internet resolution.
